A videogame intervention targeting opioid misuse prevention in high school students, working with the national School-Based Health Alliance (SBHA) and school-based health centers.
PlaySmart is an evidence-based video game created for high school students to teach them how to navigate difficult situations and build skills for a healthier life. Up to three hours of gameplay, players travel back in time through different storylines to learn how to make safe choices in challenging situations. PlaySmart addresses many pertinent health and social concerns that youth face including:

• Taking Responsibility
• Support Systems
• Opioids & Other Drugs
The game heavily emphasizes mental health promotion, providing players with stories and skill-based mini-games focused on improving well-being and preventing substance misuse.
