A videogame intervention targeting opioid misuse prevention in high school students, working with the national School-Based Health Alliance (SBHA) and school-based health centers.
PlaySmart provides youth with accurate knowledge and skill-building strategies focused on promoting mental health and preventing opioid and other substance misuse.
Approximately 6-8 hours of unique gameplay.
Through game scenarios, youth are guided in questioning substances and seeking adult support. While the scenarios include opioid misuse, the concepts can be extrapolated to other substances. The target age is 16 to 19 years.
