Children’s Privacy Policy
Last modified: January 13, 2025
Playbl is committed to protecting the privacy of children who use our websites, games, and applications (our “Services”).
This Children’s Privacy Policy (or this “policy”) was developed in accordance with The Children's Online Privacy Protection Act ("COPPA"), which requires us to inform parents and legal guardians (as used in this policy, "parents") and describes our practices for collecting, using, and disclosing personal information from children under the age of 13 ("children" or “child”). It also requires us to obtain verifiable consent from a child's parent for certain collection, use, and disclosure of the child's personal information.
This policy only applies to children under the age of 13 and supplements our general Privacy Policy. Only our general privacy policy applies to individuals 13 years of age or older.
Terms that are defined in the general privacy policy have the same meanings as used in this policy.
Information We Collect from Children
Children can access many parts of the Service and its content and use many of its features without providing us with personal information. However, some content and features, such as our games, are available in most cases only to registered users or require us to collect certain information, including personal information, in order to use or access such content or features. In addition, we use certain technologies, such as cookies, to automatically collect information from our users (including children) when they visit or use the Service. See additional details in the “Automatic Information Collection” section below.
We only collect as much information about children as is reasonably necessary to participate in an activity, and we do not condition his or her participation on the disclosure of more personal information than is reasonably necessary.
Information We Collect Directly. We collect the following information to register to play our games: the child's first name, and last name, email address, class/roster information. We also require the child to create a username and password. We may request additional information from the child, but this information is optional. We specify whether information is required or optional when we request it.
We also receive personal information of children from schools and school districts. For additional information, please see the “Educational Services” section below.
Automatic Information Collection. We use technology to automatically collect information from our users, including children, and their devices when they access and navigate through the Service and use certain of its features. The information we and our service providers collect through these technologies may include one or more persistent identifiers that can be used to recognize a user over time and across different websites and online services. This includes information such as your IP address (a number assigned by your Internet Service Provider that can identify your device), mobile advertising ID (a resettable identifier assigned to your device by operating system provider, such as Google), media access control (MAC) address, and identifiers associated with cookies, pixels, tags, beacons, scripts or other similar technology.
We also may combine non-personal information we collect through these technologies with personal information about children that we collect online.
For further information about our automatic information collection practices, including how you can opt out of certain information collection, see the "INFORMATION WE AUTOMATICALLY COLLECT" and "USE OF COOKIES" sections of our Privacy Policy.

We may disclose aggregated information about many of our users, and information that does not identify any individual or device. In addition, we may disclose children's personal information:
- To third-party service providers that assist us with the internal operations of our Service and who are bound by contractual or other obligations to use the information only for such purposes, and to keep the information confidential.

We may share personal information for reasons not described in this policy, but we will tell you before we do so.
Parental Choices and Controls
At any time, parents may review their child's personal information maintained by us, require us to correct or delete their child’s personal information, and/or refuse to permit us from further collecting or using their child's information.
Parents can review, change, or delete their child's personal information by:
- Sending us an email at support@playbl.com. To protect your privacy and security, we may require you to take certain steps or provide additional information to verify your identity before we provide any information or make corrections.
Educational Services
Some of our Services are available for teachers, schools, and school districts (“Schools”) to use as part of an educational curriculum under the oversight of the School. These Services are designed to minimize the collection of personal information from children and to comply with student data privacy laws. When used by Schools, names, roster/class information, usernames, identifiers that may identify a child or his or her device, and other information may be provided to us by the child’s School and associated with a class or grade level. The School will be able to see information regarding the child’s use of the Services in connection with a class and make changes to the child’s username and other information. In some circumstances, teachers and other authorized personnel may create accounts for their students.
The School is solely responsible for providing notices and obtaining consents required by COPPA and applicable student data privacy laws, including providing all required notices to parents, obtaining all necessary parent or guardian consents, or complying with applicable requirements of an exemption or exception from parental consent requirements. The School is also responsible for activities such as removing a child from class roster, deleting a class, or submitting a deletion request when a child’s personal information is no longer needed for School purposes.
If you are a parent and have questions about reviewing, modifying, or deleting your child’s Personal Information, please contact your child’s School directly.
Changes to this Policy
We may change this policy from time to time. For material changes, we will try to notify parents of child users in any way the law allows. We may also post notice on the Service when changes are made, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
