An evidence-based, story-driven behavioral health video game focused on smoking and vaping, with an emphasis on risk prevention, well-being, social interaction and skill-building.
The target age is middle school students ages 11 to 14.
SmokeScreen focuses on vaping/smoking prevention and cessation. The game will increase adolescents' perception of risk of harm from using tobacco products while equipping them with techniques to refuse peer pressure.
Through 7 real-world storylines and approximately 3 hours of gameplay, students:
- Learn about the dangers and health risks of vaping and tobacco products
- Acquire skills to make informed decisions about their health
- Become health advocates for others
